Though WhatsApp can be hacked to some extent only, we don’t have to tell you how bad the hacking can do to you.
Once hacked, the hacker can keep an eye on you like when you come online on WhatsApp, your sleeping
pattern, your online activity, and much more. But here’s how you can stop it.
Things to know first about hackers
Hackers can access your WhatsApp data by various means like via
WhatsApp web or registering your number on another device.
WhatsApp cannot work on two phones at the same time but hackers if register your number on another device,
can easily get hold of all your chats including the personal ones and it will
automatically log you out in your own device.
Hackers can quickly scan your WhatsApp QR code and access your
WhatsApp conversation from anywhere in the world.
However, this requires hackers to have physical access to your phone to be able to access the QR code.
Also, know that a Hacker can be anyone around you, it can be your partner
or friend, it can be anyone who wants to know more about your WhatsApp messages.
To know if your WhatsApp web is active on an unknown device, go to the
three dots given at the top right corner of your WhatsApp window.
Go to WhatsApp Web and check the list of all open sessions. This will let you see all the devices that are connected
to your WhatsApp or you can follow our procedures and steps below.
But If you are seeing a message ” This phone could not be verified”, it means
your WhatsApp has been accessed by an unknown device also.

Can my WhatsApp messages be monitored?
Someone once asked me if his WhatsApp messages be monitored?.
Well i wish to answer this questions generally, Unfortunately, yes.
WhatsApp conversations and accounts can be hacked into. If you are suspicious that someone else is listening to your conversations, just follow the procedures given above and everything will be fine.
Another Way To Secure Your Whatsapp
There is also another way you can secure your whatsapp messenger so it can be very difficult to hack.
Have you heard about the “Two-Step Verification” on Whatsapp before?
Two-step verification is an optional feature that adds more security to your account.
When you have two-step verification enabled, any attempt to verify your
phone number on WhatsApp must be accompanied by the six-digit PIN that you created using this feature.
Upon enabling this feature, you can also optionally enter your email address.
This email address will allow WhatsApp to send you a link via email to
disable two-step verification in case you ever forget your six-digit PIN, and also to help safeguard your account.
Whatsapp do not verify this email address to confirm its accuracy.
So it is highly recommended that you provide an accurate email address so that you will not be locked out of your own account if you forget your PIN.
But beware of hacker too when you receive an email to disable two-step verification, but you didn’t requested for it, don’t click on the link.
Someone could be attempting to verify your phone number on WhatsApp.
More Info About TWO-STEP VERIFICATION
More thing you need to know is when you have two-step verification
enabled, your number will not be allowed to reverify on WhatsApp within 7 days of using WhatsApp without your PIN.
Funny as it sounds, if you forget your own PIN, but didn’t provide an email
to disable two-step verification, even you will not be permitted to reverify on WhatsApp within 7 days of last using WhatsApp.
After these 7 days, your number will be allowed to reverify on WhatsApp without your PIN, but you’ll lose all pending messages upon reverifying and they will be deleted.
Mind you, If your number is reverified on WhatsApp after 30 days of last
using WhatsApp, and without your PIN, your account will be deleted and a new one will be created upon successfully reverifying.
For the smartness of the app and to help you remember your PIN, WhatsApp will periodically ask you to enter your PIN.
There is no option to disable this without disabling the two-step verification feature.
